That being said if (they will) the spindash is added to frontiers it's a simple compromise of charge time over power. The boost in frontiers was nerfed from previous games, it doesn't get you to top speed, only about half or just a little bit over and only works when you (the player) move sonic. In the response to that clip i saw the usual "i want the spindash" and then the usual "MUH DROPDASH." I've seen a lot of people claim that the dropdash makes the spindash useless and that the boost makes the spindash useless, i might have agreed with the latter a couple months ago, but seeing how the boost works now i think the spindash can work too.įirst to cover the boost because that's easier. Another reasson is because there was a cut question in the new ign interview about the drop dash to sum it up izuka said they're adding in abilities and things that they know people love from previous games because there's so many different control schemes for sonic and everyone has their preferences.
I'm specifically making this post just to explain why and how the spindash can work in a game like frontiers that already has a boost and dropdash. NO this isn't a post about momentum slope physics and the spindash are different things and this post will be focused on the spindash.
